You’ve got enough to think about while planning a wedding, so I wanted to make this easy. Below are quick answers to the questions I get asked most often.
Music Selection: Can we choose The Music For Our Film?
Music plays a big role in the overall feel of your Wedding Film, and I take a lot of care in choosing something that fits you and the day. The film is set to legally licensed music (often from Musicbed), so I can’t use popular radio songs, but I’d love your input. If you want to share favorite genres, artists, a couple songs for inspiration, or even just a few words that describe the vibe you’re going for, I’ll take it from there. Ideally, send any music notes before the wedding day so I can prep thoughtfully.
Drone Footage: Do you use a drone?
Yes, I do sometimes capture drone footage when weather permits and we’re in a legal and safe area to fly. I usually use it for wide establishing shots of the venue and surrounding area earlier in the day, and I’m always mindful not to fly over guests or people. If drone footage is something you’re hoping for, just let me know.
Audio Capture: What audio do you capture, and what will we hear?
I capture comprehensive audio, including the full ceremony and all toasts, using lapel mics and audio recorders. When it fits naturally, I’ll incorporate specific audio clips into your Wedding Film to help tell the story, but I never want it to feel forced. Either way, the full audio from those key moments is always preserved in the Footage Edit so you have a complete memory of how everything sounded.
Working With Other Photographers: How do you work alongside our photographer?
I love working with photographers, and I try to make sure it feels like we’re all on the same team. If I haven’t worked with your photographer before, I’ll usually connect ahead of time to learn their style and talk through the logistics of the day. My goal is always to keep things smooth and relaxed for you, and it’s honestly one of my favorite compliments when a couple is surprised to hear we’d only worked together for that one day.
Deliverables: What’s Included in our final delivery?
No matter how much coverage you book, every wedding package includes two key deliverables:
• Wedding Film: A cinematic highlight film set to licensed music. The length will vary depending on the day’s events and coverage.
• Footage Edit: A longer edit with natural audio and minimal color correction. It typically includes the main events in a more real-time way, so you can experience those moments back without everything being condensed into highlights.
Add-ons like Instagram films or rehearsal dinner coverage are also available if you’re interested.
